Overview:

Develops, executes and leads best-in-class digital media team.  Collaborates with Agency senior strategists in Creative, Engagement, Brand and Media planning to influence and integrate resulting overall Client strategy.  Consistently pushes Agency thinking forward as new marketplaces and technologies emerge, particularly in the areas of digital and social media.



Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility for directing digital media planning on one or more clients 
  • Collaborate with Client Leadership, Media and Digital Production to develop best-in-class digital product
  • Lead strategic development, analysis and optimization
  • Articulate goals/objectives/metrics in collaboration with Analytics team
  • Lead and influence client and Agency team
  • Guide, mentor and manage a large digital media team with diverse skill sets and experience levels
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Anticipate possible problems / issues and prevent; or provide timely creative, effective solutions as required
  • Provide thought leadership to agency teams, departments and clients
  • Effectively and professionally represent Agency to client and external partners
  • Lead cross-departmental training with the end-goal of creating “bi-lingual” planners (on and offline media pros)
  • Constantly learning – staying in front of (and teaching Agency, Clients) industry trends in this rapidly changing space


Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated expertise in all things digital is a must.  Experience in search, display, CPC, CPA, email, mobile and social
  • Ability to manage large client digital budgets (in excess of $15mm)
  • Proven effective manager, mentor and coach.  Able to identify and cultivate up and coming talent
  • Progressive and persuasive thinker who can expertly influence and lead client engagements
  • Proven ability and interest in staying current with social, digital and other media technologies; and an ability to translate that into new solutions/strategies for Clients and Agency
  • Demonstrated pro-active thinking with creative problem-solving skills
  • At least 8-10 years experience working in marketing or media organizations – (e.g., general advertising agency; media planning and buying firm; management consulting firm) working in the digital space; Experience in off-line media planning is a plus, but not required
  • Experience across media channels and platforms creating promotions and campaigns including digital media and emerging media
  • Demonstrated success at creating effective, results-based consumer connections which have built brand advocates
  • Exceptional writing, communication and influence skills  (samples of your work will be requested)
  • Commonly sought out for ideas and inspiration
  • Demonstrated excellence in teamwork and leadership skills
  • Effectively introduced a new discipline to clients and teams
  • Knowledge of / experience with channel planning helpful
  • Minimum:  Bachelor’s degree in business, advertising, marketing or related field;
